Monsoon Season Update: Tour Operations Across Nepal
As the monsoon season update in Nepal, typically beginning at the end of June, Nepal Dynamic Eco Tours. Would like to inform our valued travelers that all our wildlife and cultural tours across the country. Will continue to operate with flexibility. Daily tour operations will be adjusted as needed based on prevailing weather and local conditions to ensure your safety and enjoyment.

Trekking and Hiking
High-altitude treks such as the Everest Base Camp Trek, Annapurna Circuit, and Manaslu Circuit face increased risks from landslides, slippery trails, and unpredictable weather. However, short treks in the Kathmandu Valley. such as Nagarkot, Shivapuri, and Champadevi, remain accessible with proper rain gear and experienced guides.
Wildlife and Jungle Safaris
In Chitwan National Park and Bardia National Park, wildlife activities like jeep safaris and canoe rides may operate with adjusted schedules due to flooding in certain areas. Nevertheless, the parks are exceptionally beautiful during monsoon, with vibrant greenery and abundant birdlife.
Please note, however, that our Jeep Safari experiences inside Chitwan National Park will be temporarily suspended during the peak monsoon period due to safety and environmental concerns. However, Jeep safari can still operate in the Buffer Zone area, where there is no fundamental boundary between physical area of park, and Buffer Zone. The suspension generally begins in late June and lasts until approximately mid-October, depending on the season’s weather patterns.
Cultural and City Tours
Cultural tours in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Patan continue without major interruptions, giving visitors rich heritage experiences regardless of the rain. Moreover, indoor attractions such as museums, monasteries, and art galleries offer excellent options for rainy days.
Transportation and Safety
Heavy rains often block roads, delay flights, and reduce visibility. Therefore, travelers should keep flexible itineraries, check weather forecasts daily, and choose reputable local operators who monitor conditions closely.
