Her Mother Was Killed by a Rhino. She’s Still Fighting to Save Them.
The documentary “Her Mother Was Killed by a Rhino. She’s Still Fighting to Save Them” is finally released about Doma Paudel and is available to view on YouTube! Please watch full video on YouTube Story of Doma Paudel
We at Nepal Dynamic Eco Tours express our deepest gratitude to documentary makers Katie Schuler, Jocelyn Stokes, Angel Morris, and the entire team for sharing Doma Paudel’s inspiring journey with the world. Her dedication to wildlife conservation and sustainable tourism embodies the spirit of Nepal, and we feel proud to see her story reach a global audience.
Doma Paudel’s journey into wildlife conservation began with a personal tragedy. A rhino killed her mother during a visit near Chitwan National Park. Instead of stepping away from the wilderness, Doma turned her grief into a mission to protect Nepal’s wildlife and promote coexistence between humans and animals.
Doma became Nepal’s first female nature guide, breaking cultural barriers in a male-dominated field. She raises awareness about endangered species, especially rhinos, and teaches local communities the importance of conservation. Through her programs, she empowers others—especially women—to take active roles in protecting Nepal’s natural heritage.
Today, people recognize Doma Paudel nationally and internationally for her tireless work. Her organization, Nepal Dynamic Eco Tours, protects wildlife, educates communities, and trains people living near protected areas in safety. Despite her personal loss, Doma continues her fight, proving that courage and dedication create real change for both people and wildlife.
We sincerely thank all viewers who watch and support this film. Your engagement raises awareness about conservation efforts and responsible tourism in Nepal.
